I began my career with PPG Industries, Inc. in 1984 in the corporate treasury department. I married, had two children and resigned in 1994 to pursue motherhood full time. After several years at home, and several pounds later, I joined a gym and found a passion I didn't know I had. In 1999, I became a spinning instructor at Fitness Fanatics. In 2001, I became a licensed personal trainer with the International Fitness Professionals of American which is partnered with the American Medical Associations Anti Aging Group. While working at Fitness Fanatics, the continuous request to add Yoga to the schedule led me to Yogafit for a Level 1 training. I continued through Yogafit's Level 2 - 4. I added Stott Pilates and Aero Pilates training to my resume, teaching both mat and reformer classes. I firmly believe in cross training and balance in all aspects of life.
While attending a conference in Boston, I discovered both Baptiste Yoga and RealRyder bikes. I attended a Baptiste yoga class and was blown away by the physicality and the spirituality of the practice. At the same conference I took a RealRyder class, and loved the added challenge of a bike that moves. I knew immediately, I wanted to bring both this style of yoga and cycling to my clients.
I am humbled and excited to be able to share these two very powerful practices with you!
